Homework solutions for LSU MATH 7240, Algebraic Geometry.
The course description is a list of topics:
- Sheaf theory.
- Schemes.
- Morphisms: Proper, flat, smooth, unramified, and étale.
- Divisors and line bundles.
- Cohomology of coherent sheaves.
- Curves.
- Surfaces.
- Intersection theory.
- Transcendental Methods.
In other words, this is a rough following of Chapters 2-5 of Hartshorne. This is a continuation of MATH 7220 from the previous semester.
Problems mostly come from the instructor, sometimes from textbooks such as the famous ones by Hartshorne and Eisenbud. Note that although there are only three homework assignments, they have more problems than average (compared to my other courses).
